Welcome to Gerald Wexelbaum's Donation Page
Pilar, Wexy, Jeri and I thank you for visiting our personal donation page for my cycling tour benefiting Canine Companions for Independence. Ok, you are wondering who is Wexy? Our family was honored to have a Canine Companions puppy named after us (how cute is the name Wexy?) thanks to contributions supporting my cycling activities and through additional donations from Jeri's friends in North Carolina honoring her contributions to the community.
Wexy, was born on December 28, 2016 and is living with a volunteer puppy raiser for the next 16-18 months. Then he will be sent to the Southeast Region of Canine Companions for Independence for additional professional training. If he makes it through professional training, he will be matched with a person with a disability to provide support and independence.
Did you know?
Each Canine Companions assistance dog is specially matched with a person with a disability. The connection and bond that the team has is incredible! These dogs not only open doors, pick up dropped items and turn on light switches, they provide greater independence and an amazing life-time partnership.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible contribution. Your gift will help open more doors for people with disabilities. Every dollar counts! Together, we can change lives four paws at a times.
